Brothers Joel and Caleb Blanton bring their diversified experience to their distinctive home building company. Together, they have developed a novel process that allows them to build high quality custom homes in a fraction of the time required by other local builders. This allows their clients to have their new custom home quickly and conveniently.
Between them, there are few building challenges that they have not encountered and conquered. They refined and mastered their process on both coasts where they helped build as many as 500 custom homes per year.
Joel Blanton started his career as a framer in Washington state before starting his own siding and painting company. The company had 9 employees and was doing over 500 units annually by the time he got married and sold the company to his brother Caleb. After moving to the northeast to join his bride, Joel partnered with his new father-in-law building custom homes in Massachusetts. After several years of growth, Joel left the company and established a site utility and heavy equipment company in New Hampshire. At the same tiime, he was also actively developing and building homes in an open space golf course community. At the urging of a close friend, he recently moved his family to the Upstate of South Carolina to start Rockland Homes.
Caleb Blanton honed his skills in Washington and Oregon. After working with his brother's siding and painting company for several years, he bought the company when Joel moved to the east coast. He was later recruited by a premier west coast builder and managed their projects for several years. Caleb ultimately led the building science team and helped the builder achieve a five star energy rating.
When Joel decided to move to the Upstate, Caleb elected to join him in the creation of Rockland Homes.
When not working, both brothers enjoy time with their family as well as numerous participant and spectator sports.
